     I came across this post on Finance Gets Personal by Finance Girl entitled, Financial “I Never” with Finance Girl.

     I swear I’m going to start posting regularly soon. I suppose I have no excuse not to with all this sitting around I do.

     So while I’m home for a week on leave, I’ve come across some funny videos I thought I’d share. Here’s one:

     I think this is probably one of the most cleverly choreographed dances I’ve ever seen.

     I came across a very interesting and very funny post about persuading people (and improving your sex life) on The Dilbert Blog. The best quote from it is:

     People probably don’t realize how applicable to the Army Dilbert is but today’s cartoon is a very large portion of my frustration in a nutshell.

     In an article I read this morning on thestreet.com talking about possible mega-mergers and aquisitions I came across the following:

They’d rather rule in Hell than serve in Heaven.

The they in the quote is referring to the Ford family and how they’d rather keep a controlling stake in a failing Ford Motor Company than a sizeable stake in a successful Boeing (the company the author speculated would be a possible candidate to acquire/merge with Ford). If you’ve been following any of Ford’s on-going trouble’s lately, you know how apt the description is.

     I just came across the video from Gov. Tom Vilsack’s (D-Iowa) appearance on the Daily Show with John Stewart. It’s funny but I also wouldn’t mind playing whack-a-mole with their heads for some of the stuff they say. Here it is below.

     All I have to say is: Four-Year Old Motor-Boatin’ Son-of-a-Bitch!.

     I don’t know what inspired me to recall it, but during the Irish Potato Famine, British satirist Jonathan Swift wrote an essay proposing a solution to the plight that ensued after the year-after-year failure of the main source of sustenance for millions of Irish families. His solution: canabalism. Have fun, it’s an excellent read.
