This was one of those weeks that should have been a pretty good week. I had a decent PT test (despite the cold), it was a four-day week, and Opening Day for baseball was Monday. It wasn’t though. The whole week I felt like I was teetering on the edge of either losing control and doing some really stupid stuff or having an aneurysm stressing over it. Being here at my parents’ house doesn’t seem to be any less distressing.
One of the lessons we’ve learned lately is be honest from the start. Whatever it is, just be honest about it from the get-go. Reasonable people will take that honesty, react reasonably to it, and modify their plans and behavior accordingly. Unreasonable people will take that honesty and react as unreasonable people do and show their true colors as someone unreasonable. When you make reasonable people wait and stress-out because they don’t know the whole story, then they have the potential to be unreasonable.
I am not going to get sad, pouty, and depressed like I was two years ago. That isn’t going to happen.
