I like to think that when a concept for investment comes along, I don’t have to receive a huge kick in the groin to see it. Sometimes it only takes a cover story on BusinessWeek to see it.
Their cover story in last week’s edition will have me on the lookout for every possible chance of Indian infrastructure investments. Just in January State Street Global Advisors launched the SPDR FTSE/Macquarie Global Infrastructure 100 ETF (GII). It’s not a perfect play but can you imagine that the 100 best publicly-traded infrastructure companies in the world won’t be benefiting from this move to modernize India?
I would like you all to welcome my nephew, my very first one, into the world. As I mentioned in a previous post the other night, Lars Anders Oredson was born to my sister Jennifer and brother-in-law Dana around 7PM on Friday, March 16th.

It lists 200-some caffeinated foods and beverages and will even give you a rough approximation of how you feel after all that caffeine (Jitters, Watch That Blood Pressure, etc., etc.,). Neat stuff.
Thanks to TechCrunch, I came across MyMilitaryClassifieds.Com. The site is nearly brand-new so they don’t have lots of ads yet but there’s a section just for Fort Riley ads.
I wanted to try and get a holiday post in actually before the end of St Patrick’s Day but it looks like I missed it by a few minutes. Yes, I am still alive and now with better eyesight, too. I had PRK eye surgery last week. The results have been very pleasing. Plus, now I have a nephew. Lars Anders Oredson was born at 161902CDTMAR07 (that’s 7:02 PM on Friday, March 16, 2007 for all you civilians).
